Our Children, Our Future

If we can all agree that children are our future, then why are we not revamping our education system to better serve our children? I support removing federal involvement from our education system. How can bureaucrats in D.C. know the needs of Indiana children and teachers? There is too much overhead in the collecting, distribution, and redistribution of tax dollars.

Education is a parental choice, and money spent should reflect that choice. Indiana has a constitutional mandate to set a standard for education but does not require the State to provide for it. The founders of our country were very careful not give the power of education to the government and we should let those who want private education receive it. I am also a firm supporter of large scale education reform. There is a big business plan in accreditation and I seek to make alternatives available.
